I was there at the original release of Star Wars as a rug-rat. Plaid corduroy jeans, short-sleeved Arrow shirt, straight greasy hair...and a few early zits, to boot. Clutching a gallon of Coca-Cola, a bushel of fake-butter popcorn, and an industrial-sized box of Tootsie Rolls...which I think I paid for by the money I made from overcharging the old ladies on my paper route. And I kept looking at the walls of the theatre, wondering what the hell those "BOSE DOLBY" speakers were on the wall. Plus, I rode there on my '70s rat-rod bike with my pals. If that's not juvenile white-trash, I don't know what is. "Decoratin' up da whole church at a cost a forty-dolla's...just to see her runnin' back up the aisle. No, she was DANCIN' up the aisle.
